the benefit of making bad decisions...

  1. think the opposite from everyone else
  2. original ideas are created by original people, people who either through instinct or insight know the value of being different and recognize the commonplace as a dangerous place to be
  3. if you are trapped it is not because you are making the wrong decisions, it is because you are making the right ones.
  4. we try to make sensible decisions based on the facts in front of us. the problem with sensible decisions is that so is everyone else.
  5. if you always make the right decison, the safe decision, the one most people make, you will be same as everyone else.
  6. always wish life was different.
  7. i wish means would not it be nice if...
  8. i want means: if i want it enough i will get it.gettting what you want means the decisions you need to make to get to what you want. not the decisions those around you think you should make. making the safe decision is dull, predictable and leads nowhere new. the unsafe decision causes you to think and respond in a way you had not thought of, and that thought will lead to other thoughts which will help you achieve what you want. start taking bad decision and it will take you to a place where others only dream of being.
  9. always imagine before moving in
  10. its better to regret what you have done that what you have not. even when we want to be timid and play it safe, we should pause for a moment to imagine what we might be missing.
  11. have the confidence and courage to roll the dice
  12. you house of dreams is a house of dreams because you cant afford it yet! so either find a way of getting it- you will find the means, or be satisfied with dissatisfaction.
  13. life is about decisions. what ever decision you make is the only one you could make. otherwise you would make a different one. everything we do we choose. so whats there to regret?
  14. you are the person you choose to be!
  15. whatever you want you will get. but you have to want it enough to go about getting it. dreaming and talking about it wont achieve anything.
  16. there is only one person who can determine the shape of your life. who are you going to be?
  17. rock the boat
  18. before the age of thirty important things happen to us which shape the rest of our lives. the first is, we become aware of ourselves and our own thinking. we reach the age of reason. the second is, in our new found maturity we begin to think in a more adult way.
  19. recklessness and risk are not compatible with age. risk becomes something which must be carefully considered.
  20. most people are reasonable, thats why they do only reasonably well. the reasonable man adopts himself to the world. the unreasonable man adapts the world to himself- all progress depends upon the unreasonable man.
  21. old golfers dont win- its a general rule. he knows the downside, what happens if it goes wrong, which makes him more and more cautious.
  22. the young player is either ignorant or reckless to caution. that is his edge.
  23. knowledge makes us play safe.
  24. the secret is to stay childish.
  25. if you want to know how your life is going to turn out, you just have to know where you are heading.
  26. reach for the stars- if this is the level of your ambition- try aiming higher.
  27. do it, then fix it as you go- instead of waiting for perfection, run with what you have got, and fix it as you go.
  28. dont try to spend too much time trying to perfect something before they actually do it.
  29. ask for a slap in the face- instead of asking whats right, ask what is wrong. you will get truthful criticism which might hurt but will help you in the long run and is better than a pat on the back.
  30. be you own worst critic.
  31. when things go wrong its tempting to shift the blame- dont
  32. accept responsibility- people will appreciate it, and you will find out what you are capable of.
  33. it is better to listen carefully to what others are saying than to put up a show of your own brilliance- if you want to be interesting, be interested.
  34. how you present yourself is how others will value you.
  35. have a goal- become what you want to be before you can actually do it.
  36. only think about yourself, life is about "me" anyway- put your ego to good use.
  37. call yourself artist, genius, inventor, original
  38. dont lose or sacrifice your ego
  39. get on with what you want to do, get on with the job, dont worry about how you are coming across to others.
  40. you dont have to worry about how you are coming across to colleagues, workplace, others, because they are busy worrying how they are coming across to you.
  41. meetings and acts of convincing are for those who dont have enough to do.
  42. the real players dont need to act out the meeting game.
  43. whats your point of view? whats your opinion?
  44. most people are other people. their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.
  45. there is no right point of view.
  46. there is a conventional or popular point of view. there is a personal point of view. there is a large point of view which a majority share. there is a small point of view which only few share. but there is no right point of view.
  47. you are always right. you are always wrong. it just depends upon which pole you are looked at.
  48. advances in any field are based upon people with the small or personal point of view.
  49. people are like sheep, they follow the leader. it is the leader who has a point of view about which way they should go. having an original point of view or angle is novelty. recognising its value is intelligence. having the courage to stand up for it in the face of public opinion is what makes you a winner.
  50. turn things upside down, or turn yourself upside down, things will start looking positive
  51. a good idea is one that happens- if it does not it is not!
  52. ideas are matter of taste. what is a good idea to someone can be bad or boring to someone else. if an idea is not taken up and used it has no value.
  53. lying in a drawer an idea is useless. worse than useless, it is complete waste of space.
  54. even a bad idea executed is better than a good idea undone.
  55. the longer the idea is used the better it is considered to be.
  56. ideas have to be applied before they are considered as good ideas.
  57. its not always good to have too many ideas
  58. its not where you take things from, its where you take things to.
  59. steal and copy from anywhere that sets up your inspirations and imagination- music, movies, art, clouds, roads, travel, places, nature. select only things that speak directly to your soul- if you do this your work will be authentic
  60. sometimes the clever thing is not to be too clever
  61. for a creative person starting out on a career- dont think about music, movies, product, media, etc.- JUST THINK ABOUT MONEY & MONEY- ITS HONEST, SIMPLE, CLEAR, FOCUSED!!
  62. start your own company- be you own boss- control your own destiny
  63. go to work and do you earning in the school of life
  64. it is better to live in IGNORANCE than with KNOWLEDGE. solving the problem is the exciting part, not knowing the answer.
  65. once a conjuring trick is explained, it loses its magic. the excitement of a game of football is not knowing who is going to win, or what will be the outcome.
  66. some people have success and live and rest on their laurels. the lucky ones continue to live in IGNORANCE.
  67. good marks will not secure you an interesting life, your imagination will!!
  68. in order to succeed in your failure, you have to think of your failed situation as a good place to start with.
  69. IMAGINE, IMAGINE, IMAGINE!!
  70. make tea, work for free, be a runner
  71. dont be negative about rejection- happens at this age
  72. sum up your concept and idea in one word
  73. astonish me!! ask anyone to astonish you with their ideas and product and whatever you will do after that will be creative
  74. SIMPLY CHANGE YOUR LIFE- the world is what you think of it. so think of it DIFFERENTLY and your life will change.
